Charity Mondays at Potter’s Oasis
Charity Mondays
Every first Monday of the month, Potter’s Oasis opens its doors to local charities, offering free access to our studio to foster creativity and community engagement. This initiative is aimed at supporting individuals who may not otherwise have access to artistic opportunities, providing them with a space to explore their creativity in a welcoming and supportive setting.
Charity Mondays encourage connection, healing, and self-expression through pottery and other artistic mediums, helping participants find joy and purpose in artistic creation.
Whether it's a therapeutic session, a community-building activity, or a chance to learn new skills, these Mondays reflect our commitment to inclusivity and the belief that art should be accessible to everyone.

Our volunteering legacy
Volunteering is a powerful act of giving, where the heart becomes the compass that guides the hands toward making a difference.
Volunteering was a large part of both Jan and Bill's lives even before their years of service at Outer Encounter. Their volunteering highlights include Bill's decades of service at West Beach Life Saving Club where he took on many different positions at club level as well as at a State Level for Surf Life Saving South Australia. A surf boat was named after him to recognise his years of voluntary service. Bill also volunteered for Coast Guard and Neighbourhood watch while living in Victor Harbor.
Jan held voluntary positions at schools, art societies, Nippers and at Steam Ranges.
Potter's Oasis aims to continue this legacy by introducing Charity Mondays on the first Monday of each month, where local charity groups are invited to enjoy the space, explore their creativity and connect free of charge.
